Université de Strasbourg Exchange Program

Location: Strasbourg, France


In this exchange program, students enroll directly at the Université de Strasbourg and take classes with local and other international students. Université de Strasbourg offers a broad-range of study and research opportunities, as well as an active campus life.  Université de Strasbourg has ties to the two other major universities in Strasbourg to supplement these opportunities. Northwestern students have the option of studying abroad for a semester or academic year.  Students pay Northwestern tuition and are responsible for travel and all other expenses (including room and board).

Languages: French

Language Requirements: 

  • 2 years or the equivalent of college-level French with the ability to do coursework in French.
  • Students must meet with Professor Margaret Dempster in the Department of French in order to assess their language skills prior to application. 

Recommended: The Northwestern Department of French recommends that students take at least one 300-level French course prior to departure.
