Sciences Po Exchange Program

In this exchange program, students enroll directly at Sciences Po and take classes with local and other international students. Established in 1872, Sciences Po is one of Europe’s most distinguished and well-known schools of public affairs. The majority of France’s political leaders are alumni, including former presidents Jacques Chirac and François Mitterrand. Northwestern students have the option of studying abroad for a semester or full academic year. Students will pay Northwestern tuition and are responsible for travel and all other expenses (including room and board).

Language Requirements: 

  • 2 years or the equivalent of college-level French with the ability to do coursework in French.
  • Students must meet with Professor Margaret Dempster in the Department of French in order to assess their language skills prior to application. In addition, students must meet with Professor Michael Loriaux, academic adviser for the Sciences Po exchange.
