Description: 

The Centro Internacional de Español (CIDE) Spanish Language and Culture program at the University of Deusto offers a broad array of coursework, in both English and Spanish, while taking advantage of the city’s unique cultural history and geographic location to introduce students to Bilbao’s Basque heritage. In addition to the program courses, students can enroll in at least one course at the University of Deusto in either English or Spanish.

Requirements: 

  • Spanish majors and minors must discuss their study abroad plans with a departmental adviser.

Academic Information:

  • The CIDE course, Spanish Through Gastronomy, is not transferable to Northwestern because Northwestern does not have an undergraduate department of Hospitality Administration.

Admission Info: 

To apply, Northwestern students must: 

  1. Complete a Northwestern Study Abroad Application by the appropriate deadline
  2. Complete a CIDE application by the program's deadline

None; however, students are required to take a Spanish language class while on the program
