Description: 

The Communications, Business + Political Economy (CBPE) program, based at National Chengchi University (NCCU) in Taipei, enables students to enhance their Chinese language skills while providing access to a wide variety of English-taught NCCU classes alongside Taiwanese and international students, including an advanced curriculum through the university's International Master's program in International Communication Studies (IMICS). Students with superior language skills can also select courses taught in Chinese. Local univeresity students are trained to serve as Cultural Ambassadors and language partners, and CIEE offers several field trips and cultural activities. Full-year students may pursue internships for credit.

To apply, Northwestern students must: 

  1. Complete a Northwestern Study Abroad Application by the appropriate deadline
  2. Complete a CIEE application by the program's deadline

Homestay (limited number available) or an on-campus dorm with Taiwanese or international student roommate.
