Students complete field-based, experiential learning in SIT program courses with an independent study project (with an optional focus on journalism) or an internship component. This program focuses on the range of issues related to inequality, poverty, and racial, ethnic, and gender-based discrimination that continue to challenge post-Apartheid South Africa.
