Becca Abara

Becca Abara

Becca was selected for her work with Free Your Mind! a collaboration between student groups committed to the support of mental health initiatives at NU. She worked with various campus departments to create a series of discussions, training, and advocacy for mental health issues. Becca is also actively involved in the African Student Association, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Out Da Box Sketch comedy group, and the African American Theater Ensemble.

Deniz Alpay

Deniz Alpay

Deniz was selected for her work as the Midwest Regional Vice Chair for the National Association of Graduate and Professional Students which has allowed her to represent Illinois graduate students. She is also actively involved in the Queer Pride Graduate Student Association, McCormick Graduate Leadership Council, Graduate Leadership Council, and Graduate Student Association.

Andrew Christy

Andrew Christy

Andrew was selected for his work with the Office of New Student and Family Programs. He is being recognized for initiating and executing a number of highly successful programs for Wildcat Welcome and the Parent and Family Orientation. Andrew is also active on campus as a member of the Inter-Fraternity Council, Dance Marathon Executive Board, and Phi Delta Theta.

David Harris

David Harris

David was selected for his work with Associated Student Government. He created an ASG mentoring program and co-authored a bill in ASG Senate to allocate funds for students with financial need to participate in Dance Marathon. David is active on campus as a tour guide for the admissions office and peer adviser for Wildcat Welcome. He is a part of the Northwestern Student Holdings, Alternative Student Breaks, and Sigma Chi Fraternity.

Noor-UI-Ain Hasan

Noor-UI-Ain Hasan

Noor was selected for her continuing efforts to foster community and ignite school pride through her work on the Wildside Executive Board. She also co-authored the ASG bill that allocated funds for students with financial need to register for Dance Marathon. Noor is also active as a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Task Force, Brown Sugar a cappella group, and Muslim Cultural Student Association.

Meera Patel

Meera Patel

Meera was selected for her work with her sorority, Alpha Chi Omega, and organizations in the Evanston/Chicago community to organize events related to domestic violence and healthy relationship awareness. These events included a 5K run, social media campaign, speaker workshop, and handing out purple ribbons on campus. Meera is also an active staff member for The Daily Northwestern.
