Introduction to Meeting
Welcome to the group and we appreciate the participation. Our goal for these monthly group meetings is to provide training, resources, information and guidance so that each department will have all the support to maintain and enhance their websites. We encourage everyone to attend as many meetings as possible.
WCUG Updates
- The minutes from each our WCUG meetings are posted as a resource to you to review our discussions.
- Chris Walker, Hao Luo and Nina all attended 'Accessing Higher Ground' Conference in Colorado and will be sharing that information they gathered with the group.
- WebComm-please discuss requests for URL redirects prior to assuming the name. We are reviewing all WebComm requests and trying to keep redirects to a minimum.
- SAIT website has been relaunched

Writing for the Web
Jill Brazel attended the Writing for The Web Class and presented her findings as they were applicable to the group. Here is the Power Point presentation with the takeaways:
Food Service Website
Andres presented on the launch of the new Food Services landing page. The needs of the department was to create a landing page for users to come to that felt part of Northwestern rather than going to Sodexo's site directly. They wanted to make the important things that students and parents need easy to find while also giving easy access to the Sodexo site. Things like meal plans, dining locations and hours, and important dates to know were the primary items to make easily accessible.
This We Believe
Eric presented his new resource for students called This We Believe. Created based on the NPR series "This I Believe" Eric created this outlet for students and staff to reach out and express their spirituality with others. The site he needed to create was something very simple with ways to get involved and examples of statements made by the group.

Why do you need this application? Is there a better way?
Nina will meet with you and determine the best solution. It takes a great deal of time to do it correctly. Consider your relationship a partnership and we want to learn about your departments to help you find and develop the best solutions.
