Inserting Images, Hyperlinks, and Tables

 Inserting an Image

To Insert an Image:

  1. Place your cursor in the area desired for the image, and then click on the insert image icon on the toolbar.
  2. The insert image window will appear.
  3. Click on the internal tab to insert an image that you have previously uploaded to Cascade.  (If you have not yet uploaded the image refer to section 3.1 for more information).
  4. Click the orange box with the brackets to open a new window which will allow you to select an image to insert. 
  5. Populate the Alternate Text field with the text representation of the image.
  6. Click Insert.

Inserting a Hyperlink

To Insert a Hyperlink:

  1. Highlight the text or an image you would like to turn into a hyperlink and click the link button
  2. The insert link window will appear.
  3. Click the internal button to link to another page within your Cascade website.  For an external page, click the external button and type in the full url in the space (i.e. http://www.domain.com).
  4. In order to link to an anchor on your current page, simply fill in the anchor field.  If the anchor is on a different page then you must complete the next step.
  5. Click the blue rectangle [] to open a new window that will allow you to select a page to link to.  

Inserting a formatted table.

Within Cascade, you may easily create, copy, and delete tables.
To create a table:

  1. Place the cursor in the editor window so that it is in the desired location for the table.
  2. Click the Insert Table Icon.
  3. An Insert table window will open.
  4. Choose the number of Columns and Rows.  Under the drop down menu Class, choose the option “styled-table”.  When done click insert.
  5. Right click in the first cell of your table.
  6. Navigate the menu to Cell > Table cell properties. A new window will open.
  7. Change the cell type to Header and the Scope to either Column or Row. The scope will change the color of the cells to red or purple respectively.
  8. Continue this for any cells you wish to stand out within your table as headers.
  9. DO NOT ALTER THE WIDTH OR HEIGHT OF THE CELLS.  As you type in your data the table will automatically change to accommodate
