Survey Results and Communication

How will results be communicated?

Transparency of results is essential. Common themes across the University will be shared with all staff through communications from Executive Vice President Nim Chinniah and Provost Jonathan Holloway. School and unit leaders will communicate results specific to their respective areas.

How will the survey results be shared?

Raw survey data will not be shared with anyone at Northwestern University. School and unit leaders will receive reports of aggregated data for their areas of responsibility. Themes will be identified in the written comments section and shared with staff, along with action plans to address the results.

When will I learn more about what actions will be taken?

School and units will be developing action plans throughout the winter and spring and will then communicate with staff on priorities. Additional information on results and action planning will be updated throughout the year on the Staff Survey website here.

What is the commitment of leadership to communicate and act on the survey results?

Our leaders are committed to this process and to prioritizing and addressing areas identified for improvement.

Is it possible to see the overall results of each school/unit?

The results for each school/unit will be shared only with those individual schools/units. The overall average university results will be shared widely as will the overall average school and total average unit results.
