Responsibilities

Developing a lesson plan and establishing a schedule for 8 hours of student contact.
Confirming with your research advisor that this schedule will not interfere with your regularly scheduled activities or disrupt the function of the laboratory.
Communicating with your assigned students so they can find the meeting place for your tutorial.
Preparing sufficiently and facilitating your assigned group according to the schedule
Attending 2 teaching workshops: one workshop on developing a lesson plan and setting a schedule will be held before the start of the quarter, one training workshop on leading small group discussions with staff of the Searle Center for Teaching Excellence will be held early in the quarter.
Assisting in program management activities as required.
Reading and evaluating the essays the students will write about their experience in your tutorial.
