Scheduling a TutorialBecause the SERTS program uses real research laboratories, we need to be considerate of the needs of the laboratory. Tutorials are scheduled in an unusual manner as compared to other courses.The course instructor prepares a menu of tutorials from information provided by the Tutors. This menu contains a brief description of the topic each tutor will cover and the days and times when the Tutor is available to meet with students. Students are asked to review the menu and to identify 2-3 Tutors who offer sessions which are compatible with their schedules. The instructor compiles all of this information and informs the students as to which tutorial they have been assigned.
