Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship

The Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship program aims to increase the number of underrepresented undergraduate students who will pursue PhDs in core fields in the arts and sciences. Funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the program includes mentor-guided research, peer mentoring, summer research, and community-building activities. The Searle Center will evaluate the program by measuring development of research and critical thinking skills and attitudes toward careers in academia.
