Extended Science Workshop

The Extended Science Workshop (ESW) program expands the peer-facilitated, advanced conceptual workshops from the Gateway Science Workshop (GSW) programs into sophomore- and junior-level science courses. The program began in 2004–2005, with workshops in organic chemistry, a course taken by chemistry, biology, and biomedical engineering students at Northwestern University.

The ESW program is generously funded by the National Science Foundation to increase the number of students majoring in chemistry and biological sciences.

For detailed information and to register, see the Gateway Science Workshop program page.
