Bio

Su works on a variety of research and evaluation projects including the Howard
Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) Grant aimed at transforming undergraduate education
in the biological sciences, the Science Research Workshop (SRW) program that engages
students in scientific research early in their undergraduate career, and the NCLT
projects focused on improving nanoscience education.

Su received her PhD in Learning Sciences from Northwestern University.  Her
dissertation research examined student motivation and interest in school science.
She also holds a Master's degree from Purdue University, and a Bachelor's degree
from Peking University, both in areas of Biology.  She joined the Searle Center in
2001 as the coordinator for the Gateway Science Workshop (GSW) program.
