Andy French is the coordinator of the Gateway Science Workshop (GSW) program at the Searle Center for Teaching Excellence. In this role, he manages program operations and acts as a liaison among the various stakeholders of the GSW program, including students, faculty, and administration of Northwestern University. Andy also serves as co-coordinator for the Academic Mentoring Program (AMP).
Prior to joining the Searle Center, Andy taught middle school and high school in Chicago. Andy is a graduate student in the Higher Education Administration and Policy program at Northwestern, and his interests include student learning, critical thinking, and interactive and engaged learning environments. Andy received an M.A. in History from DePaul University, an M.A.T. from National-Louis University, and a B.A. in History from Valparaiso University.
