    Freshman Quad
Since fall 2003 Northwestern has offered first year students the opportunity to live and learn together in a supportive environment. The Freshman Quad (FQ) provides an opportunity for nearly a fifth of the freshman class to live together. FQ is located on north campus in Elder Hall (2400 Sheridan Road), Hinman House (610 Lincoln) and 600 Lincoln. The residents of these buildings share a hall government which is responsible for coordinating many of the social and educational events for the area. FQ traditions include munchies, firesides, all-hall formals and a spring Quadfest. The Hinman House seminar room is a convenient location for some freshman seminars and sections of the annual Freshman Emerging Leaders Program (FELP).
