		Outdoor Events

		Purpose: The University has asked that Norris Center administer the registration process for all organized outdoor events occurring on Northwestern University property. The Norris Center staff will advise groups on policies and procedure involved with the implementation of outdoor events. Procedure: The Norris Center has made it possible for the outdoor event form to be submitted online, and approved by e-mail. This design has significantly helped students save time by enabling key authorizations to be processed to get event requests approved. Although the process requests at least five days advance notice for the approval, student organizers should review the current campus calendar reservations and strive to plan their Hall or College events with as much consideration toward advance planning as possible. Spring Quarter, in particular, is a highly competitive time for outdoor event requests. Try to plan several weeks ahead.
