There are several ways to post employment opportunities at Northwestern. Please find information below on CareerCat and iNet which are both free posting systems available to you to reach Northwestern talent. CareerCat is Northwestern University's main online recruiting system and database powered by NACELINK Symplicity reaching thousands of Northwestern students and alumni.


Through CareerCat you can post internships, part-time and full-time jobs, and register to attend career events hosted by NCA.

Register as an Employer to post opportunities in CareerCat

  1. Click on the Employer CareerCat login
  2. Select Register
  3. Complete the profile section
  4. NCA staff will review your profile, approve you as an employer, and send you a password to use for posting internships and jobs.
  5. Additionally, you can post employment opportunities for a small fee to other universities across the area and nation via CareerCat (NACELink).

How to Post on CareerCat

  1. Log into your CareerCat profile
  2. Select Create Job posting (located under shortcuts on the right-hand side of your screen)
  3. Complete position details profile. (**Helpful tip: To reach a wider pool of candidates, select All Majors)
  4. Submit

How to Post an Internship on iNet

  1. Go to the iNet webpage and post your internships for free
  2. After completing the short registration form you will be emailed your user name and password. (Note: this site is managed each year by a different consortium institution)
