Building Your Brand at Northwestern

Marketing your company/organization and its opportunities to Northwestern students is an important part of your on-campus recruiting strategy. Northwestern Career Advancement provides varying levels of social media and marketing support to raise awareness and increase visibility of companies and organizations participating in on-campus recruiting, depending on your involvement (see Corporate Sponsorship Program). While we cannot send dedicated promotional emails to students on behalf of an employer due to the high volume of marketing material we receive, there are a number of opportunities that we provide through our office, or invite you to explore on your own, to further reach students.

Marketing & Social Media Support

For companies and organizations hosting information sessions, coffee chats, office hours, or other recruiting, educational or informational events with us, we provide the following within the week prior to your event:

  • Event calendar listing featured on the NCA homepage
  • Reminder Tweet on @NUCareerAdvance
  • Email Marketing (included in a weekly email to undergraduates and graduate students)

Please note that companies/organizations will be listed along with other recruiting events that occur during the same week.

Advanced social media support and custom social media and marketing strategies are included in certain levels of the NCA corporate sponsorship program. To learn more about becoming a corporate sponsor, please visit NCA Corporate Sponsorship.

If we see a Tweet related to your event or on-campus recruiting efforts, we’ll do our best to ReTweet it!

Host a Recruiting or Informational Event

The best way for a student to learn about your company is by getting to know you. Employer events can come in the form of information sessions, panel discussions, lunch & learns, coffee chats and more. Learn more about the types of events that will help your company or organization best reach Northwestern students

Participate in a Career Trek

Host Northwestern students on-site at your organization to give them an insider’s perspective on what it’s like to work within your industry. NCA staff lead groups of students to various employers in Chicago and other major U.S. cities each academic year. Site visits typically last a few hours and may include Q&A, panel/networking discussions, office tours, and other hands-on activities. Please contact Geni Harclerode for more information.
