Center for International and Comparative Studies
Promotes international research and facilitates the exchange of information with local, national, and international organizations. CICS hosts visiting scholars, sponsors interdisciplinary conferences, and administers faculty exchanges with institutions such as the National War College and the Institute d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po).

French Interdisciplinary Group
The French Interdisciplinary Group (FIG), founded in 1996, has two interrelated goals: first, to promote and facilitate collaborative research between Northwestern faculty and French scholars in all fields, and second, to encourage interdisciplinary research and teaching of all aspects of French culture and society.

International Studies Major
Interdisciplinary major open to students in any department as an adjunct to their primary field of study.

Program for African Studies
PAS is an interdisciplinary center which functions as a liason between Africanists in various departments; facilitates the training and research of scholars; and promotes the study of Africa through the sponsorship of courses, lectures, seminars, Institutes and conferences.

Council on Foreign Language Instruction
Enhances second language instruction at NU by organizing workshops and seminars, and providing an open dialogue between language and literature faculty.

Multimedia Learning Center
Technical assistance and software design in building new technologies in language acquisition.
