Andrea Conklin Bueschel

Andrea Conklin Bueschel joined the Office of the Provost in 2016, serving as Assistant Provost for Faculty. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing a range of programmatic, operational, and policy areas designed to support faculty at all stages of their careers.

Prior to her appointment at Northwestern, Bueschel served as Associate Vice President at the Spencer Foundation, overseeing all of the foundation’s programs. Bueschel was also a lecturer in Northwestern’s School of Education and Social Policy, teaching a course on Higher Education Policy in the master’s in higher education program. Bueschel has been a higher education researcher at a think tank; was managing director for an educational consulting firm; has conducted program evaluation for non-profits; and has held various administrative posts in higher education. Recent publications address issues in higher education, philanthropy, and data use in schools. Bueschel holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Bates College, and master's degrees in higher education and sociology and a Ph.D. in education policy from Stanford University.
