Herbert, named the outstanding wrestler of the tournament, won his second consecutive title. The Wildcats will send six wrestlers to next week’s NCAA Championships. Men’s Basketball Northwestern dropped its final home game of the season last week in a narrow 69-65 loss to Indiana on Senior Night. Tim Doyle (pictured above), one of the honorees, finished with 17 points and eight assists. The Wildcats face Michigan State in the Big Ten tournament today (March 8) at the United Center. Women’s Golf No. 31 Northwestern lived up to its billing as the highest-ranked team at the Red Rocks Invitational, holding off Washington State to win by a single stroke. The title was the team’s second of the season, as it also won the Lady Paladin Invitational last October. Fencing No. 5 Northwestern improved to 36-4 while taking second place to Ohio State at the Midwest Fencing Conference Championships. |
