Kids Fare series begins Sept. 30By Judy Moore Returning for another season, the School of Music will present the popular Kids Fare series. These 45-to 60-minute concerts for children aged 3 to 8 and their families are performed and conducted by Northwestern University students, faculty members and guest artists. All Kids Fare concerts will begin at 10:30 a.m. on the following Saturdays in Evanston campus venues, as noted below. The first performance of the 2006-07 Kids Fare series, “March with the Band,” will be presented Sept. 30 in Trienens Hall, 2707 Ashland Ave. Youngsters are invited to bring a kazoo, tin drum or toy bugle and march along with Northwestern student musicians during the annual Wildcat Marching Band’s fall spectacular. Other shows in the series are scheduled for Nov. 4, Jan. 20, Feb. 17, March 31 and May 5. A series subscription to the six concert series is $24 for the general public; $21 for senior citizens and faculty and staff; and $16.50 for students and children. A Family Fun Pack series (2 adults and 4 children) is $81.
