New departure added to intercampus shuttle

The University has added an additional 4:35 pm departure from the Ward Building (303 E. Chicago) in Chicago to the Intercampus Shuttle schedule.

This is a free shuttle service for anyone displaying an active WildCARD ID.

Ridership statistics will be evaluated to see whether this can become a permanent addition to the Intercampus schedule. Direct questions or comments to b-peters2@northwestern.edu.

Child holiday, backup care available

Faculty and staff can take advantage of the center-based backup provider program at 10 designated KinderCare Learning Centers in the Chicago area and the McGaw YMCA Children’s Center in Evanston.

Faculty and staff will have access to center-based backup care at designated locations for up to 20 days per year. Pre-registration is required. Advance notice is recommended to determine whether space will be available on a specific day.

Backup childcare is available when regular childcare arrangements are disrupted in order to supplement, not replace, primary childcare. This program is not intended for use when a child is ill. Go to the childcare web site at www.northwestern.edu/hr/benefits/childcare/solutions/backup.html for appropriate uses, details about locations and required pre-registration, or contact the Work/Life Office at (312) 503-6631.
