Student selected as Goldman Sachs Global LeaderSophomore Mira Christanto has been selected as a Goldman Sachs Global Leader. She was selected as one of 20 undergraduates from the United States and Canada to be honored by the Goldman Sachs Foundation. Each Global Leader receives a $3,000 grant for educational expenses as well as the eligibility to participate in the annual Goldman Sachs Global Leader Institute in New York City. The 50 Global Leaders who are chosen to attend the Institute will spend time with renowned leaders from the private, public and nonprofit sectors. Christanto is currently studying mathematical methods in the social sciences, economics and Chinese. While at North-western, she has conducted research on voting behavior, mentored homeless pre-school children, and worked in Singapore as an Attaché for the American Express Group. Growing up, she lived in Jakarta, Indonesia and Singapore, inspiring her goal to become a management consultant for hospitals in third-world countries. |
