Ayers College of Commerce and Industry keynote panel; Bienen, students mix politics and business
Before the presidential election, students enjoyed the opportunity to listen to a panel of speakers discuss the election's relevancy to business. The event — the Ayers College of Commerce and Industry keynote panel — was moderated by President Henry S. Bienen and titled "Politics...It’s Everyone’s Business!" The discussion was meant to highlight other key issues that are often overshadowed by issues of national security, such as the war on terror, according to Elise Lipkowitz, graduate student and assistant master of Ayers College. Panelists, including Fortune Brands Vice President of Corporate Communi-cations Clarkson Hines and former Wisconsin Gov. Scott McCallum, discussed topics such as job outsourcing, trade policy and corporate endorsements of candidates. |
