Feinberg School convocation is May 21The Feinberg School of Medicine will hold its graduation convocation at 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 21 in the Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier. The keynote speaker will be David J. Skorton, M.D., president of the University of Iowa. He received his M.D. degree from the Feinberg School in 1974 and a B.A. from the Weinberg College in 1970. A total of 173 graduates will receive an M.D. degree. Five of these graduates will be awarded a combined M.D./Ph.D. degree and 12 an M.D./M.P.H. Five graduate students will receive a Ph.D. in clinical psychology. Ten students in the Integrated Graduate Program will receive a Ph.D. One of these graduates is in the M.D./Ph.D. program. Sixty-one students in the Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences professional degree program will receive a D.P.T. degree. Seven students in the Genetic Counseling Graduate Program will receive a master’s degree, and five students will receive a master’s degree in clinical investigation. |
