President’s State of University address is May 4

President Henry S. Bienen will deliver his annual State of the University address at 9:30 a.m. May 4 in Thorne Auditorium in the Arthur Rubloff Building in the School of Law on the Chicago campus.

He will share his perspective on the progress and challenges faced by the University in 2003 and his goals for the future. He will answer questions from faculty and staff members.

The speech will be Webcast to Pick-Laudati Auditorium in the Block Museum of Art and the Marjorie Mitchell Multimedia Center in University Library.

The Webcast will enable individuals to view the speech from their computers using Real Player software.

Individuals can watch the live webcast by going to the University’s home page and clicking on the “State of the University” banner in the features section in the lower right of the Web page. Alternatively, they can go directly to President Bienen’s Web site at www.northwestern.edu/president/webcast.html to watch.

To avoid any potential technical difficulties it is strongly recommend that individuals test their Real players at least 24 hours prior to the event. Real Player can be tested at www.at.northwestern.edu/realtest/.

Staff unable to attend the live address or one of the Evanston Webcast locations may submit questions for the president in advance by visiting the NUSAC home page at www.northwestern.edu/nusac/.
