Parking available north, south, west

A survey of parking lots on the Evanston campus has found that parking in the center of campus continues to be tight throughout much of the day but that space continues to be generally available in the lots north, south and west.

The survey, conducted during several weekdays in November, showed that the lot near the Henry Crown Sports Pavilion had an average of 90 spaces available at 9:30 a.m., but fills up later in the morning. The lot located just east of Kemper Hall had an average of 25 spaces available throughout the day and did not reach capacity.

The parking garage at the south end of campus had an average of 200 spaces at 10:30 a.m. Just after the lunch hour, the lot still averaged more than 100 available spaces.

Fifty spaces on average were available at 10:30 a.m. in the Engelhart lot on Maple Avenue. This lot never reached capacity during the survey. The ITEC lot, located behind the Hilton hotel, also had an average of 50 spaces available.
