John Evans Club turns 50

This year marks the 50th anniversary of The John Evans Club, the University’s premier donor society that is named for one of the University’s principal founders.

Over the past 40 years, club members have contributed in excess of $500 million to Northwestern.

Membership in The John Evans Club is open to all alumni and friends of Northwestern who want to ensure the University’s continued recognition as one of the nation’s outstanding institutions by providing substantial financial support.

The purposes of The John Evans Club are:

To establish an exemplary pattern of substantial financial support to the University by alumni and friends who have a sustained interest in Northwestern.

• To offer the assistance and counsel of its members regarding the University’s programs and activities, including fund raising.

• To hold meetings at which University representatives discuss the plans and objectives of Northwestern.

• To sponsor programs and events for the benefit of members, their families and friends.

The club holds special events each year. During this academic year, members will attend a theater performance and men’s basketball game, tour the Arthur and Gladys Pancoe-Evanston Northwestern Healthcare Life Sciences Pavilion and hold a 50th anniversary dinner celebration at the club’s annual Waa-Mu event.
