University creates civility policyThe University has implemented a new Civility, Mutual Respect and Unacceptability of Violence on Campus Policy. The policy states that faculty, staff and students are expected to deal with each other with respect and consideration. Unacceptable actions include, among others, intimidating, threatening, or violent behavior that prevents someone from participating in the University community, studying or carrying out their duties as well as damage to property or actions that cause someone to fear for their safety. The policy is in the 2003-04 Northwestern University Community Guide on pages 22-23 and can be accessed online at www.northwestern.edu/handbook. |
