On the job: Sarah Berkowicz

Name and title: Sarah Berkowicz, academic records assistant, School of Continuing Studies

What she does: She registers students, makes changes (like add/drop) and works with faculty on grade collection.

Been there: As a current student finishing her degree at SCS, she’s sensitive to other students’ needs.

Signature: “When I was a student at IIT, there was an employee to whom everyone would go because they knew she could help,” she says. “I’ve tried to model myself on that. When people need something, I’m more than willing to help.”

On working at SCS: “I’ve seen determined students attend SCS for as many as 20 years. It’s great to see people still interested in moving forward in life.”
