Employee of the Year
Do you know someone who has gone above and beyond his or her job responsibilities and made a substantial contribution to a program, department, school or the University? The Employee of the Year award recognizes outstanding staff contributions annually. Each year, nominations are received by Human Resources, and a committee comprised of NUSAC members and HR staff reviews all submitted nominations selects seven finalists for Employee of the Year. From those seven finalists the committee then selects one Employee of the Year winner, to be announced at the annual Staff Service Recognition Luncheon which is typically held each May.

Length of Service Awards
Many University employees have spent their careers here at Northwestern. Staff members who have dedicated many years of service to Northwestern are those whose knowledge, expertise, and mentoring is sought out, and they deserve gratitude and recognition. At the monumental milestone of 20 years of service, and every five years thereafter, staff members are publicly honored at an annual luncheon with the University president and senior administrators, as well as their departmental colleagues.

Service Excellence Awards
Often times staff members go above and beyond the call of duty to complete a task or meet a goal. For these times, when you want to do more than just thank a person for their efforts, there is the Service Excellence Award. Any member of the University community may nominate a staff member for the award and it is possible to be nominated more than once. Each quarter, all service excellence awards nominees from the previous quarter are invited to attend a luncheon in honor of their outstanding service to the Northwestern community. Each luncheon is also attended by the University president and senior administrators.
