Jason D. PlumleeJason D. Plumlee, Director of Catering

The hospitality industry has been what seems to be the indoctrination of the life of Jason. For over 10 years, he has consecutively worked and has been educated in many facets of this industry. This undoubtedly led Jason to obtaining his culinary and baking & pastry degrees at The School of Culinary Arts of Kendall College in Evanston, Illinois. With his participation in many student activities and special projects, it was to no surprise when Jason was offered a position to stay and manage the fine dining restaurant operated by the college. From there he actively progressed to the Director of Catering at Kendall College and assisted in the relocation of Kendall to its new home in the heart of Chicago, where he established and operated one of the industries most sought after event facilities. Jason came to nuCuisine Catering in September 2007. In his current position as the Director of Catering, Jason brings his experience back to the Evanston community, a place that will always feel like home.

Colleen grew up in a suburb of Kalamazoo, Michigan. After high school she moved to East Lansing, Michigan where she followed in her siblings footsteps and attended Michigan State University. While there, she completed internships throughout the United States and spent time studying abroad in Europe to earn her Hospitality Business degree.

Colleen began her career working in healthcare in Kalamazoo. While there she served as a member of the hospital’s Diversity Committee making several changes to make the hospital a more welcoming place for all patients, employees and guests. In 2007, Colleen moved out to Chicago and became a part of the nuCuisine Catering team. She has enjoyed working with such a diverse, supportive and dedicated group. Claudia WyssClaudia Wyss, Executive Chef

As a little girl, Claudia Wyss would prepare family meals with her mother in their household kitchen in Switzerland. Her love of cooking grew from there and at 16 years old she entered into the Swiss Chef School Schaffhausen to start her three-year formal culinary training. While working at a prominent restaurant in Zurich, Chef Claudia’s desire to travel became stronger. In 1991, with nothing to lose and only five hundred dollars in her pocket, she packed her suitcase and headed to Windsor, Canada. Her ventures did not end in Canada as she headed to Puerto Rico to work at the Mayaguez Hilton as a head chef. Then in1994, Chef Claudia moved to Chicago to work at the Drake Hotel, where she prepared meals for Princess Diana and local royalty Michael Jordon. Chef Claudia moved her culinary skills on to Northwestern in 2004. Since being at Northwestern, Claudia has cooked for Barack Obama, John McCain and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Chef Claudia’s passion for cooking brings delicious cuisine to nuCuisine Catering!
