** Fitness Enhancement Physical Training is required for midshipmen failing to meet the standards of a semi-annual physical fitness test.

Your senior year in the Northwestern NROTC Unit will commence with the first week of classes, typically starting the last week of September.  Senior midshipmen take NS 341 A Seminar on Leadership and Ethics in the fall and NS 220 Naval Weapons Systems in the winter, along with a Computer Science course from the NU faculty.  All midshipmen, regardless of class year, attend the Naval Science Lab on Tuesday afternoons.  The academic year is full of opportunities to participate in NROTC events such as Drill Meets, the Military Ball, Dining-in, and Spring Review.  Upon graduation from Northwestern University, you will be commissioned and proceed to your first duty station.

Marine Option: Fourth year Marine Option Scholarship midshipmen have a very similar schedule to that pictured, with exceptions:
- Physical Training is mandatory three times per week (usually Monday and Wednesday afternoons, and Friday morning at 0600).
- All Marine Options are members of the drill team, so drill team practice is mandatory.
- Marine Options are not required to take Naval Weapons Systems.
Nurse Option: Nurse Option midshipmen attend all classes except Naval Science at Loyola University of Chicago. Nurse Option midshipmen are not required to take Naval Weapons Systems.
