Norris Supervisor Hiring Information

There are several steps you will need to take when hiring Norris student employees. 

1) Job Posting

  • Job Post Request - This form must be submitted to post a Norris job on the Norris website.

3) Hiring Paperwork Required

  1. Employee Packets:
    • New NU Employee Packet (PDF) - For all new NU student employees except: students who have had a NU on-campus job within the last year
    • New Norris Employee Packet (PDF) - For all new Norris employees who have had a NU on-campus job within the last year
    • Returning Employee Packet (PDF) - For all returning Norris employees who are returning for a new school year (even if they have worked during the summer)
  2. Background Check Form (PDF) (if applicable) - New Employees in ARTica, Game Room, Norris Outdoors, Mini Courses, Cashier's Office, and Center Desk need to have a background check completed.

4) Hiring Completion Email

  • A Hiring Completion email will be sent to both the supervisor and the employee when the hiring process is complete.
    • Employees are not permitted to work until this confirmation email is received.

Job Performance Evaluation

  • A mid-year employee performance evaluation must be completed for all active student employees.
  • A year-end employee performance evaluation must be completed for all active student employees.
