Mission and Criteria
The mission of Dittmar Gallery is to promote cultural inclusion and to advance thought through visual and other art forms presented by local and emerging artists.
Dittmar supports underrepresented and marginalized artists from the greater Chicagoland area and across the country. We are dedicated to presenting the works of emerging artists within our surrounding communities and promoting cultural awareness and student learning through art on campus.
Note: We are not able to accommodate international artists at this time.
2024-2025 Exhibition Submissions
Submissions for 2023-2024 exhibitions are now closed. Submissions for 2024-2025 exhibitions are now open.
Formal review of proposals submitted will begin in March 2024. Applications will be open until April 30th, 2024.Please use the following guidelines below to apply.
Submitting Your Art
Dittmar Memorial Gallery welcomes submissions through a formal review process. Each May, the submissions committee meets to review submissions and select a season of artists for the following academic year. In your complete submission, include:
- Five images that demonstrate the work you are proposing for a show or past work with a proposal for new work
- Work list for the images, including title, medium, size, and year
- Statement
- Resume/CV
- Any available contact information
