The Complexity of Insights: Elegance of Solutions
“Our mind is capable of passing beyond the dividing line we have drawn for it.
Beyond the pairs of opposites of which the world consists, other, new insights begin.”

--Herman Hesse

Hosted at the James L. Allen Center on the Evanston campus, the annual CANet Conference will focus on the prominent question facing our community today: “How do we make sense of all these different pieces of information and various priorities coming at us, or lying implicit in our system? Our ability to make sense of the information and act on it will be the source of our competitive advantage. Our inability will be the cause of our demise. The real underlying needs and solutions are not obvious. It's 'complex' but we need to make it simpler so we can see our way forward, and learn to do so across scale in a sustainable way.”

Participants will hear from leading researchers and practitioners in the area of methods to spot emergent patterns and unifying concepts, designing strategies and structures to iterate and sustain new models, and cultivate relationships with the myriad of players who need to contribute to and find value in the solutions that are designed.
