EVANSTON, Ill. --- Northwestern University welcomed its newest students as the Class of 2015 landed in Evanston Sept. 12 and moved into residence halls across campus.

An army of student volunteers and staff members helped more than 2,000 freshmen and transfer students settle into their new homes on campus. Wildcat Welcome, a weeklong orientation program, helps new students get acquainted with everything that Northwestern has to offer. The program also includes a trip to Six Flags Great America, a performance by legendary Chicago comedy troupe Second City and various other social activities.

Returning students and those living off campus are also on their way back to Evanston, as undergraduate classes begin Tuesday, Sept. 20.
