What's Your Big Idea?

Evanston150 seeks ideas from Northwestern community on Evanston’s future

By Alan K. Cubbage

Members of the Northwestern University community are invited to bring their ideas for Evanston’s future to a special brainstorming session at 5 p.m. Friday, May 20. The session, designed to generate ideas on ways to make Evanston even better, will be held in Cohen Commons in Tech, Room L482, fourth floor, L wing.

Free pizza will be served.

Evanston150 is an initiative that engages community members in imagining Evanston’s future, resulting in 10 visionary ideas to celebrate Evanston’s 150th anniversary in 2013.

“Northwestern students, faculty and staff are a vital and vibrant part of our city,” said Patrick Keenan-Devlin, an Evanston150 steering committee member and a Northwestern alumnus and former ASG president. “The contributions Northwestern students, faculty and staff make to Evanston are invaluable. We need their ideas to ensure that this city-wide initiative truly reflects our whole community.”

The brainstorming is sponsored by the Evanston Community Foundation, Dance Marathon, ASG, and the University. For more information on Evanston150, go to www.evanston150.org.
