How Comics and Medicine Fit Together

Artist Scott McCloud will talk about graphic art and medicine June 11 in free lecture

CHICAGO --- Well-known graphic artist and author Scott McCloud will give a free public talk about the new intersection and possibilities of graphic art and medicine at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 11, in the Thorne Auditorium of the Rubloff Building, 375 E. Chicago Ave. on the Northwestern University Chicago campus. McCloud’s talk is part of a conference called Comics and Medicine: The Sequential Art of Illness, which is being hosted by Northwestern’s Feinberg School of Medicine. McCloud is the author of “Understanding Comics,” “Reinventing Comics” and “Making Comics.” Reservations are not required.
