Gradishar Named Bramsen Professor

Feinberg professor is the director of the Maggie Daley Center for Women’s Cancer

EVANSTON, Ill. --- Dr. William J. Gradishar, M.D., professor of hematology/oncology at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, has been named the Betsy Bramsen Professor of Breast Oncology.

Gradishar currently serves as the director of the Maggie Daley Center for Women’s Cancer at the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University and is the chair of the annual Lynn Sage Breast Cancer Symposium. He has served as Program Director of the Hemotology/Oncology Fellowship Program for the last 20 years. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the American Association for Cancer Research and the American Federation for Clinical Research. Additionally, he chairs the Professional Development Committee and serves on the Program Committee of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and has served as a consultant for the Food and Drug Administration’s Oncology Drug Advisory Committee.

Gradishar is an editorial board member for numerous journals and has published many influential papers about breast cancer therapeutics, with an emphasis on new endocrine therapy, chemotherapy and biologic agents.
