Show Your Purple Pride on ESPN College GameDay

Students are encouraged to participate starting at 5 a.m., general public at 5:30 a.m.

CHICAGO --- ESPN College GameDay will be coming to our city Saturday morning, televising live from outside Wrigley Field prior to the Allstate Wrigleyville Classic.

Students are encouraged to participate in the live broadcast in the south parking lot of McDonald's near the corner of Addison and Clark. Beginning at 5 a.m., a limited-capacity area close to the GameDay stage will open to Northwestern students ONLY. The Wildside, the University’s student cheering and spirit group, is coordinating a fleet of buses to transport students from campus to Wrigley Field for the show.

Students should RSVP to wildside.exec@gmail.com to reserve a space on the buses. More information can be found in this flyer.

The stage area will open to alumni, fans and the general public at 5:30 a.m. Plan to arrive early to secure a spot in the designated area. No food, drinks, bags, purses or backpacks are allowed. You may only bring a sign expressing your Purple Pride.  No signs on sticks are allowed. While creativity is encouraged, any derogatory or questionable signs may be confiscated by security.

Once the limited-capacity area is filled, fans will be directed to gather across Clark Street in front of the Wrigley Field marquee. The live broadcast of the popular college football preview show begins at 8 a.m. on ESPNU and continues on ESPN at 9 a.m.

When the GameDay broadcast concludes at 11 a.m., fans can experience the Wildcat Way entertainment area on Sheffield between Addison and Waveland. Admission is free. More info on Wildcat Way can be found here.

Standing Room Only and Limited View tickets for the Allstate Wrigleyville Classic are still available via tickets.com

Arrive early! Wear purple! Be loud!
