EVANSTON, Ill. --- Patricia Todus, associate vice president for information technology and deputy chief information officer, has been named interim vice president for information technology, University officials announced today (Nov. 19, 2010).

“We’re pleased that Pat has agreed to step in while Northwestern continues the search for a vice president for information technology,” said Eugene Sunshine, senior vice president for business and finance. “Pat has effectively managed the operations of NUIT since Mort Rahimi’s retirement, and we are confident in her leadership of NUIT throughout this transition period.”

Todus joined Northwestern University in 1988 and has served in a leadership role in NUIT since then. Prior to joining NUIT, she was president of Northwestern Technologies Group (NTG), a joint venture of Northwestern University and Northwestern Memorial Hospital that provided all technology services to the institutions, their affiliates and support groups.

She currently chairs the University’s Information Technology Coordinating Council and participates in numerous University committees. In addition, she has longstanding professional memberships in Educause, the Association of Information Technology Professionals in Higher Education, the Society for Information Management and the Committee on Institutional Cooperation and serves on the Board of Directors of the Illinois Technology Foundation.
