Bard Harstad Named McGraw Chair
Professor researches international climate change agreements
July 23, 2010 | by Jasmine RangelEVANSTON, Ill. --- Bard Harstad, associate professor of managerial economics and decision sciences in the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, has been named the Max McGraw Chair in Management and the Environment.
Harstad's research focuses on political economics, public economics and organizational economics. In particular, he has analyzed environmental policy instruments, negotiation processes and the design of international agreements. Parts of his research have been published in several journals, including American Economic Review, Quarterly Journal of Economics and Journal of Public Economics.
A native of Norway, Harstad received an M.Sc. from the University of Oslo and a Ph.D. in economics from Stockholm University.
