Schink Named Brewer Chair in Gynecology and Cancer Research


The researcher is chief of the division of gynecologic oncology

CHICAGO, Ill. --- Julian Schink, M.D., professor of obstetrics and gynecology in the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, has been named the John and Ruth Brewer Chair in Gynecology and Cancer Research.

Schink, chief of the division of gynecologic oncology at the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center, has been a principal investigator of several cooperative group clinical trials investigating ovarian cancer chemotherapy and gestational trophoblastic disease.

He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists and the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation. He has been the recipient of numerous academic awards, is repeatedly named among America's best doctors and has contributed to nearly 150 publications.
