Inauguration Celebration Concert
Evening of entertainment honoring President Schapiro showcases breadth of talent at Northwestern

On the eve of President Schapiro's ceremonial inauguration, the best of Northwestern came together to salute him.
A celebration concert at Pick-Staiger Concert Hall showcased the University's broad range of talent and excellence. The program featured the following:
- Victor Goines, professor and director of jazz studies, Bienen School of Music (alto saxophone)
- the Northwestern University Wildcat Marching Band
- Daniel I. Linzer, University provost
- Nancy Gustafson (MM 1980), artist in residence, Bienen School of Music (soprano)
- Elizabeth B. Tisdahl, mayor of Evanston
- Toni-Marie Montgomery, dean, Bienen School of Music (piano)
- Peter Martin, lecturer in jazz studies, Bienen School of Music (piano)
- Mike McGee, president, Associated Student Government (Class of 2010)
- the Northwestern women's lacrosse team and Kelly Amonte Hiller, head coach
- Leslie Donavan (JD 1982), president, Northwestern Alumni Association
- Boomshaka, student drum, dance and rhythm ensemble
- "Tap for Dummies" dancers from the 2009 Waa-Mu Show, choreography by David H. Bell, associate professor of theatre and Donald G. Robertson Director of Music Theatre
