Brian Boardman Joins General Counsel's Office

EVANSTON, Ill. --- Brian C. Boardman has joined Northwestern University's Office of General Counsel as assistant general counsel.

His primary assignment will be in student affairs matters, said Thomas G. Cline, vice president and general counsel.

Boardman most recently worked as an associate with the Chicago law firm of Babbitt, Land, Silverstein & Warner LLP, representing higher education institutions throughout the Chicago area, including Northwestern. He graduated from Stanford Law School in 2003, where he participated in Stanford's Education Advocacy Clinic.

Prior to law school, Boardman taught fifth grade in southeast Washington, D.C., as a member of Teach For America. He graduated from Northwestern University magna cum laude in 1998 with a bachelor of science in journalism and was a four-year member and a captain of the crew team.
