Opening Ceremonies Held for Northwestern University Campus in Qatar
The opening of an "important chapter" in the history of Northwestern University began March 23 when officials from the University and the Qatar Foundation for Education, Research, and Community Development formally marked the opening of Northwestern's campus in Doha.

Postcards from Doha: Touring Qatar's Capital City
Approximately 80 members of the Northwestern community trekked to Doha, Qatar for the opening ceremonies of the Northwestern University in Qatar campus. Along the way, they toured Doha's diverse sites and landmarks including visited the Fanar Islamic Center, the Museum of Islamic Art, Al Jazeera headquarters and the Souk Waqif marketplace. They also enjoyed a scenic bay cruise on the Gulf.

Taking Northwestern Overseas: Campus Life in Qatar
With the first semester behind them, Richard Roth, senior associate dean for the journalism program, and Rodda Leage, a lecturer in the communication studies program, share their experiences and reflect on the process of bringing the Northwestern education to the Middle East.
