Northwestern Marks 'Important Chapter' in Qatar

Check out the sights and sounds as Northwestern officially opens its new campus in Doha, Qatar.

By Alan K. Cubbage
The opening of an "important chapter" in the history of Northwestern began March 23 when officials from the University and the Qatar Foundation for Education, Research, and Community Development formally marked the opening of Northwestern's campus in Doha.

A contingent of students, faculty members, administrators, trustees, alumni and staff traveled from the Evanston campus to Doha for an official ceremony and three days' worth of sightseeing.

The trip is recorded here in words, photos and video footage.
